Private equity giant said Monday it plans to acquire enterprise software company .

The planned purchase comes with a price tag of about $10.7 billion as Thoma Bravo takes the publicly traded company private for $66 per share.听

Anaplan鈥檚 acquisition is the sixth-largest acquisition so far this year, per Crunchbase data, while planned purchase of for nearly $69 billion tops the list.听 But it鈥檚 also the largest SaaS acquisition of 2022, as the bigger acquisitions have been in categories like gaming, banking and insurance.听

So far, 581 venture-backed startups globally have been acquired this year, according to Crunchbase data. That鈥檚 slightly lower than the 647 VC-backed companies that were acquired globally in the same timeframe last year.听

Of companies in general globally, there have been nearly 3,200 acquisitions so far this year, also lower than the 3,463 globally in the same period last year.听

Before Anaplan went public in 2018, it raised money from investors including and .听

Anaplan marks Thoma Bravo鈥檚 first acquisition this year, according to Crunchbase. The private equity firm made 12 acquisitions last year, with as its largest purchase in 2021 for $12.3 billion.听
